STEPS 2009 BURTON UPON TRENT DIVISION

Steps is a circular walk of approx 4.2 miles (6.8 km ) around the area of Branston and Tatenhill, At various points around the walk there are bases where the girls have a task / challenge / activity to perform.

This event was first held in 2000 to celebrate the centenary and proved popular that it has decided to hold it every 3 years

Bases this year were:

• Treasure Hunt using metal detectors
• Friendship bracelets at the Orchard  Campsite
• Decorating kites
• and at Branston Water Park creating a picture using leaves , petals etc  which was called Nature's Palette.

It was a beautiful warm and sunny day and if was encouraging to see so many parents who came along for for the walk.

Thanks to all who helped with the base activities and to the leaders who walked with their Units, once again  giving up their time to Guiding.
