Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Presentation Evening

An excellent evening was had at this year’s Presentation Evening which took place on Friday 4th April at The Quality Inn Hotel, Penkridge.

Mrs Debbie Felstead an Award Officer from Midlands Region was delighted to present the Awards to girls taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme from Girlguiding Staffordshire.

160 people attended the presentation which included parents, grandparents, Guiders and the County D of E team.

Several girls talked about their achievements in the various sections of their Award – Anti-Bullying Programme, Motor Skills, Hockey, an Expedition Group’s Purpose Presentation and National Trust Working Holiday.

There was a large display of the achievements of other girls who have taken part in the scheme.

The Awards presented this year were 19 Bronze, 11 Silver and 3 Gold, and Sectional Certificates awarded were 8 Bronze, 5 Silver and 3 Gold.

There were girls from Cannock, Leek, Lichfield, Newcastle, Rugeley, Stafford and Tamworth Divisions who received Awards.
