Czech Republic 2009On 16th August 2009 18 girls and 4 adults from around the county left the UK bound for the Czech Republic for 7 days. For two of the girls it was the first time they had been abroad and also had flown. During their time away they went sightseeing in Prague, visiting the castle, Petrin Hill, the Old Town & New Town, the Astronomical Clock and also spent a few hours doing what every girl loves – shopping!! Other activities undertaken were; a light aircraft flight over the city, a visit to a crystal factory to see how crystal was made, a trip to Prague zoo, an aqua park, a concentration camp at Terezin and white water rafting. The white water rafting was one of the most favoured activities, with many of the girls experiencing the rafting for the first time. The final night ended with a surprise river boat cruise, this was fantastic way to end the adventure. Here are just a few of the comments received at the end of the trip; amazing, awesome, brilliant, fabulous and great. And from the leaders – where to next ......................................... |
