Leaders InformationTaking units or other groups of girls overseas really is an adventure. You can choose to make your own arrangements or travel with organised adventure companies. Before you start work on your trip please talk to your Division International Adviser who will be able to start you off with the correct information about the forms to complete, the requirements you need and some ideas of where to go. If you have not taken a group abroad before, you may find it useful to attend a GAINING Training (Getting Away INternationally IN Guiding). These trainings are run at Region level and we have held session within Staffordshire as well. Future training dates will be advertised of this website. Licence requirements:Before you start planning for your trip, please make sure you have the right licence for the age group that you intend to take away. If you are taking a group of under 18s abroad, and you have not already done so, you can use the trip to complete the travelling abroad module of the camp and holiday licence scheme. A grant may be available to you if you are using the trip to complete this module. For further information on the grant scheme, please refer to the following link on the Girlguiding UK website (link). If you wish to apply for this grant, please complete the application form and send it to the County International Adviser with your completed G/P form.
