PSSA
(THE POP SCHOOL AND STAGE ACADEMY)

Will be opening our party with favorites from High School Musical which everyone will want to dance and sing along too

PSSA is a dynamic school for young people from 8-18YRS with Little Luvvies from 3-8YRS. They focus on each child's strengths and there is something for everyone who enjoys performing. They encourage creativity and interaction with other likeminded children to develop confidence to unveil young people's true potential. There main aim is to let children develop naturally through encouragement and lots of fun and you will see this.
They perform to a very high standard with lots of shows to their credit and I am sure that we are in for a real treat as they take to our outdoor stage alongside the professionals.

Girlguiding Staffordshire's Centenary Party in the Park
We are delighted to announce that

FARYL SMITH

WILL BE PERFORMING AS OUR "Headline Artist"

What an inspiration she will be to members of Girlguiding who would like to live the dream and carve a career using the talent that they were born with. Faryl has certainly worked hard and followed her dream and at 13years of age she has an extraordinary talent and she will be performing for us and I am sure she will be a hit with all ages at the party.

One minute, Faryl Smith was an ordinary schoolgirl with a talent, the next she was being told in front of a national television audience, "You are literally one in a million" and "super-talented".

This is how 13-year-old singing sensation Faryl Smith sang her way to the final of ITV's Britain's Got Talent and into Britain's front rooms. It was an endorsement worth its weight in platinum with Faryl having now signed the largest record deal ever awarded to a schoolgirl.

2008 was mostly certainly a year to remember for Faryl, but 2009 has already seen the young girl from Kettering breaking records with the release of her debut album, performing to crowds of over 80,000 and now signing a second multi-million pound deal with Decca US, taking her incredible talent stateside.

Reaching the top 5 in the commercial album chart, Faryl became the fastest-selling classical debut album in chart history, surpassing the debut releases of classical music's finest including Luciano Pavarotti, Andrea Bocelli, and also that of the ladies of classical including Charlotte Church, Hayley Westenra, and Faryl's idol Katherine Jenkins. Young Faryl has also become the only classical star to go gold with their debut album within the first week of release.

DON'T MISS THIS FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY TO BOTH SEE AND HEAR FARYL PERFORM AT OUR VERY SPECIAL AND UNIQUE EVENT IN Girlguiding Staffordshire's HISTORY

HAVE YOU ORDERED YOUR TICKET??

"Fake That"

The most sought after tribute band in 2007 & 2008 and the first Take That tribute in the UK

(Seen below performing at West Wycombe in June 09)

Are performing at our party

You will see and hear some of the greatest hits of the most successful boy band ever from Carl, Gary, Joss, Curt & Aeron, five very talented lads.

"Fake That" simulate the original 5 piece line up of Gary, Mark, Howard, Jason and yes even Robbie Williams!

They will perform some fully choreographed favorite songs
"I can't wait to hear and see them and I am sure that they will appeal to all ages"

You can visit "Fake That" at their website www.fakethat.com

SIX of the best…..

As they will show you when they perform at our party
It will be wonderful to see our six girls perform alongside the professionals on September 5th as their prize for winning
"Staffordshire Guides Have Got Talent"

The winner, 13 year old dancer Sarah
She will "wow" you with her dance style.
Sarah is a very talented performer who will make the stage her own and richly deserve the applause that she will receive I am sure

In second place came our second performer 15 year old guitarist and vocalist Laura
You will hear Laura a very talented musician perform a Katie Melua song

Vocalist 13 year old Bethany who was placed joint 3rd will be singing for us and backed by Connect 3.
And I am sure that we will enjoy hearing Bethany sing a song that is very apt for Girlguiding; don't miss the chance to find out what it is!!

Connect 3
Our talented group of gymnasts and dancers Ellie, Katie and Laura who came in joint 3rd place will be showing off their moves as they perform with Bethany. They are such an enthusiastic group of young guides that you cannot fail to be impressed with their talent

Fantastic News…..
Ian Kelsey
will be appearing at our party on September 5th

You will hear Ian as the show opens and then you will see him on stage with Justin Fletcher as they perform their new double act… how exciting is that!

Ian has been seen in many TV series and has finished a run as Billy Flynn in London's West End with the production of Chicago

You may have seen him in as Dave Glover in "Emmerdale", as Dr Patrick Spiller in "Casualty", as corrupt cop Richard Mayne in "Blue Murder", as Jack Clayton in "Where the Heart is" and these are just a few of credits to his name which is so impressive and now he joins us in Girlguiding Staffordshire

What a talented man!!!
Don't miss this wonderful chance to see Ian live at the party

Fantastic News…..
"The Tunics"
Will perform at our party on September 5th

Joe Blanks is back with the really successful, band "The Tunics" who will be hugely popular with our Guide and Senior Section members

Joe is a drummer with an extraordinary talent and has both performed and judged at Girlguiding Staffordshire's Guiding Star competition.

He has drummed for Girlguiding Stone Outward Division Show "A Handful of Songs" and travelled with that cast to perform at Girlguiding UK's Annual Review at the Mermaid Theatre in front of the President and Chief Guide

Joe with Scott Bass and Joe Costello have just returned for a recent tour and will perform songs from their latest album
"I can't wait to hear them"

We are delighted to announce that

LIZ MCCLARNON
Former Atomic Kitten and solo singing star
will be both performing and comparing
at our Centenary Party in the Park

We are thrilled that Liz has agreed to join us and can't wait to hear her sing and keep the show moving with her great personality

In February 2006 Liz' debut single was released in the UK entering the chart as highest new entry at number 5. The single, a cover of the Barbra Streisand classic "Woman in Love" was produced by Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees who also wrote the track back in 1979
Charismatic, strikingly beautiful yet always accessible, with a powerful voice, a hundred hits in the making, a wardrobe we'd all kill for and an army of fans around the world ,
Liz is well on her way to solo superstardom, and the best is certainly yet to come as 2009 is definitely going to be Liz McClarnon's year to shine!!
