Tall Ships Adventure

As part of the Girlguiding Centenary Celebrations, there was a Tall Ship Adventure on board the STS Lord Nelson, this went around the whole of the UK, excluding Ireland. It took one hundred days and was done in ten legs each lasting ten days. I was lucky enough to get a place on one of the legs.   I went on the eighth leg which was from Falmouth to Milford Haven. 


 
You were put into watches (groups) and I was in the Aft Port watch, which was on the bottom left of the ship and was also known as our muster station.  Unfortunately, we had really bad weather and so we only had one night sailing and luckily I got to experience this night sailing and have a go at steering and taking up the position as the helmsman.
