Queen's Guide Adviser
Name: Natalie Ainsworth
Division: Longton
How long have you been in Guiding? Since the age of 5 when I joined as a Rainbow
Role: County Queen's Guide Advisor
What does your role entail? I am responsible for advertising the Queens Guide Award across the county. Once a member decides to do the award I meet with them to discuss the syllabus and to support them with ideas. All paperwork, ie forms, come to me to be processed. During the three years the award takes, I make regular contact with the participants to check on their progress and to offer support. On completion of the award I send their book to CHQ for assessment by the Chief Guide. I then ensure the certificate and brooch goes to the participant. I also ensure they are invited to the county presentation evening.
What has been your best experience in Guiding so far?
The completion of the Queens Guide Award and my presentation at St James Palace, London.
Respresenting Guiding by being part of a working group at a Buckingham Palace Garden Party
A trip to Our Cabana, Mexico for a Friendship Event
