Charlie's Angels take on the Chase Walk

Seven girls from Penkridge Rangers decided to take part in the 40 mile Chase Walk on Saturday 19th March. They wanted to raise money for Cancer Research in memory of Karen Taylor or "Cloudy" as she was known to the girls.

They started training on a very snowy day in December and have been out training many times since. They all successfully completed the walk in 16 hours 24 minutes which was amazing. They left Beaudesert at 06:42 and finished at 11.06.

They were the only all girl and all team members to finish taking 2nd place  or "The Rolling Pin" Award, they lost out to a faster girl team but not all there members finished.

It was a day which involved a lot of emotions not only from the girls but from us as parents as well. They have now raised well over £1,000 with plenty more money to come in.

The girls involved were Abi Cotton, Lesley Buchan, Jenny Watts, Nicola Richards, Ellie Gay, Lara Russon and Eloise Durham.
