Bell Boat Regatta 2011
The Bell Boat Regatta held on Saturday 15th October was the biggest yet with 3 Brownie teams, 7 Leaders/senior section teams and 11 Guide teams. Approximately 160 girls and leaders took part. All areas of the county were represented and racing in all sections was very close with just 2 or 3 seconds between 1st and 2nd teams.
The leaders had two races one in the Bell Boats and one in the Katakanus and their times were combined to determine the winning team.
Time only allowed for the Guide teams to race once.
Fancy dress winners were
Brownies – Whittington (Creepy Crawlies)
Leaders - Threapwood (Up the Creek)
Guides - 1st Chase Terrace (Chasewater Ducks)
A voucher was awarded to the winning fancy dress teams which entitles them to a complimentary evening at Manor Park in 2012.
