Fijian Guiders visit Staffordshire
Some Staffordshire Guiders visited a Guide Unit in Fiji in January and were thrilled to hear that two of the Guiders that they met were coming to the World Conference in Edinburgh last week and wanted to meet up again, Plans were made in "Fiji time" i.e. the day before they arrived (!), but we managed to show them some excellent Staffordshire hospitality.
On Sunday, they were taken to Beaudesert and loved meeting Brownies and Guides from Uttoxeter and hearing all about their Pack Holiday and Camp. Then it was out for a traditional Sunday pub lunch, complete with Yorkshire puddings, and then a wander around Penkridge Summer Fair in the rain!!
On Monday morning, they had chance for a quick look around Stafford before we put them on the train to continue their journey south. Thanks to everyone who helped out last minute to make their stay enjoyable for them.
